Pine wood has its own natural stain finish which will react to most polish and detergent manmade products. The surface of pine can re-treated to help maintain its natural stain finish. To do this use unperfumed block wax. Rub the wax over the full surface of the pine furniture. You can also follow the manufacturers instructions which may advise a specific type of wax or rubbing method.

Once your pine wood is treated in this method it should show a higher shine level than previously. The use of manmade cleaning products such as detergents can also invalidate any claim against damages. Damages can also be caused by placing pine furniture on damp or wet floors.
